TLC's purpose is much more than just to lead a capital campaign in your church. We have designed the campaign to build long-lasting results in your church. To that end, we will purposefully strive to involve a significant number of church families on one of the campaign Teams, much more than is normal. Then we will train the Teams for their various responsibilities.
Your TLC Consultant does all the training – we do not ask the Pastoral staff or other church leaders to substitute teach for us. This way your church gets the benefit of our many years of experience, while providing a format for your people to take direct ownership of your church's project.
TLC realizes the big difference between approval and support. A congregation may give a nod of approval for the church's plans and project, but they will not support it significantly with their giving until they take ownership of the project personally. This is best done two in ways: 1) through the involvement of their people in the decision-making process for the project, and 2) through personal involvement in the various tasks to be accomplished during the capital campaign.
People will give at a significantly higher level when they have a sense of personal ownership by being involved both in the development of the project and in working on the campaign tasks. This ownership is then translated into a higher level of support for the church's project.
